Hiromi Burker-Kamo, 66 of Spearsville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 5, 1946, in Sasebo, Japan, to Tatsuma and Fumie (Baba) Nakagawa.
She married Kenneth Burker on July 29, 1969, in Sasebo, Japan; and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Doug Burker (Georgina) of Morgantown; two daughters, Misa Ewing (Dr. Reginald Ewing, commander, U.S. Navy) of Naples, Italy, and Andrea Bishop of Tucson, Ariz.; her mother, Fumie (Baba) Nakagwa of Sasebo, Japan; a brother, Kazuma Nakagwa of Toyoma, Japan; six grandchildren, Cody Burker, Andrew Burker and Lauren Burker, all of Morgantown, Jerra Ewing and Kendall Ewing, both of Naples, Italy, and Michael Bishop of Tucson, Ariz.; and three sisters, Fumiko Taneda, Mieko Matuse and Yurie Takohara, all of Sasebo, Japan.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her husband, Kenneth Burker, on Feb. 28, 1994.
The Rev. Denzel Hendershot will conduct a memorial service celebrating the life on Hiromi Burker-Kamo at 11 a.m. Saturday at Spearsville Church of Christ. Friends may gather from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
