Mavity G. ‘Bud’ Janke
Mavity G. “Bud” Janke, 75, of Franklin and formerly of Greenwood, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
Bud was born May 25, 1937, in Beech Grove. His parents were Mavity Janke Sr. and Mary Thomas Janke.
Bud’s working history was primarily engaged in executive placement and recruiting for more than 40 years. In 1972, he established his own agency, Janke & Associates, headquartered in Indianapolis.
Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed playing golf with his many friends at Royal Oak Country Club.
Bud is survived by his loving wife, Charlene Hedrick Janke; two daughters, Dana Janke Shank of Franklin and Carolyn (Dale) Reed of Martinsville; a sister, Tommy Sue (Herb) Janke Lepper of Knoxville, Tenn.; two granddaughters; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Janke; two brothers, Charles T. Janke and Jerry R. Janke; and a granddaughter, Alexa Shank.
In hopes of benefiting the advancement of the medical profession, Bud generously donated his remains to the Anatomical Education Program at Indiana University School of Medicine.
