Effie (Handlon) Daugherty, 85, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012. She was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda K. Shumaker; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Pauline Schantz and Robert Handlon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Edith G. Handlon; and six siblings.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery in Greenwood.
