Ruth Olive (Millard) Kincaid
Ruth Olive (Millard) Kincaid, 85, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Kokomo and Mulberry, Fla.
Ruth was born March 30, 1927, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to the late Howard and Olive Ruth (Moore) Millard. She married Robert Wayne Kincaid on Jan. 1, 1947, in Kokomo. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2007, after 60 devoted years of marriage.
Ruth was the loving mother to her daughters, Cheryl (Lee) Snider of Morgantown and Carol Ann Thorn of Hendersonville, Tenn. She will be remembered by her two grandchildren, Ryan (Ines) Snider of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Rachel Snider of Trafalgar; and one great-grandson, Avery Gannon Rose.
Ruth also was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Millard Jr.
She was a 1945 graduate of Kokomo High School and retired in 1987 as a telephone operator with Indiana Bell Telephone Co. after many years of service.
Ruth was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church and a former member of the Scott Lake Baptist Church in Lakewood, Fla. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling and playing the piano.
The Rev. Lee Snider will conduct a celebration of life service at 11:30 a.m. today at Franklin Methodist Community Wright Chapel, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time today at the chapel.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, Cremation and Personalization Center in Morgantown.
