James E. Meyers, 64, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012.
He was born March 19, 1948, the son of John and Charlotte (Lichti) Meyers.
He was a Master Gardener in Johnson County and a member of the Johnson County Garden Club. Jim worked for Gleaners Food Bank.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary E. Meyers; his father, John W. Meyers of Summerville, S.C.; stepmother, Alberta; three sisters, Anne Bauer of Illinois, Linda Harriman of Virginia and Sharon Ehrhardt of New Jersey; two brothers, David Meyers of New Jersey and Donald Meyers of Virginia; three nieces; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Meyers.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135 at Olive Branch Road. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 7031 S. East St., Indianapolis. Jim will be laid to rest in The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery and Mausoleum Park in Greenwood.
