Robert G. “Bobby” Shelton, 67, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Greenwood.
He was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Johnson County, the son of Melvin and Daisy (Mathis) Shelton.
Bobby is survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Don (Marie) Shelton of Washington, Ind., Norman (Hazel) Shelton of Greenwood, Dale (Marge) Shelton of Greenwood, Jr. (Candace) Shelton of Greenwood, Jerry (Julie) Shelton of Campbell, Calif., Betty (Donald) Ziemer of Fort Myers, Fla., and Susie Crecelius of Greenwood; and best friend, Janice Picklesimer.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and a brother, Denny Shelton.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Homeview Health and Rehab for caring for Bobby over the last several years.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rocklane Cemetery east of Greenwood.
