Ruth Ann (Hogue) Stancombe, 72, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012.
She was born Nov. 13, 1939, to Paul and Pearl Hogue in Liberty, Ky.
Survivors include her mother, Pearl Hogue of Trafalgar, who will be 100 in January; her husband of 55 years, Keith Stancombe of Franklin; her children, Beth (Wes) Harrison of Bargersville and Michael (Pennie) Stancombe of Trafalgar; her grandchildren, Amy (Kyle) McComas and Matt Harrison, both of Greenwood, and Olivia, Emily and Corie Stancombe, all of Trafalgar; her great-grandson, Luke McComas of Greenwood; her brothers, Bob and Don Hogue, both of Trafalgar; her sisters, Nancy (Gordon) Smith and A.J. (Mike) Brownfield, both of Trafalgar; and several nieces and nephews. A great-granddaughter is expected in February.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Hogue.
Ruth and Keith were former owners of Bargersville and Trafalgar Family Restaurants.
She attended Fair Haven Christian Church in Franklin.
Ruth gracefully fought a rare cancer for 21 years, always with a smile on her face.
Visitation hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. The Rev. Jeff Johnson will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Fair Haven Christian Church, 1476 County Road 300 South, Franklin. Burial will be at Lickspring Cemetery in Trafalgar.
