Emil “Sam” Kanalas, 84, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012. He was a resident of Greenwood.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Alsobrooks Kanalas; a son, Keith (Mary Pat) Kanalas; a daughter, Kathy (William) Gold; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary Moore and Donald Kanalas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Kathryn Kanalas.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135 at Olive Branch Road. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery in Greenwood.
