Joan (Day) McCarty, 83, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie D. (Wayne) Dorrell of Greenwood; a son, Richard Mark (Debbie) McCarty of Greenwood; a brother, Ron Day of Greenwood; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mark McCarty.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Smith Valley United Methodist Church, 5293 Old Smith Valley Road, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.
