Robert Lee Milton, 85, of Greenwood, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
He was born June 13, 1927, in Marshall, Ill., to Joseph Milton Sr. and Bertha (Knight) Milton. He married Elizabeth Jane Morgan. She preceded him in death Jan. 22, 2011.
He was a retired train dispatcher.
Mr. Milton is survived by one son, Rick Milton of Greenwood; one daughter, Sheryl Anne Bolger of Ventura, Calif; one grandson, Matthew Robert Milton of Mooresville; one sister-in-law, Betty Dyer of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, George and Earl Dean Milton; and a son-in-law, Joseph “Buddy” Bolger.
He was a member of Clark County American Legion Post 90.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon (CST) Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. Sixth St. in Marshall, Ill., with John Cutshall officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Marshall Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Clark County American Legion Post 90 and VFW Post 5975.
