Nancy Jo Richert, 76, of Greenwood, entered her heavenly home Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Lake Wales, Fla., to Roma and Eleanor Fraser.
She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and a past member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Jeffersonville.
Nancy earned her master’s degree from Indiana University Southeast. She was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood and was very active in her church.
She also enjoyed gardening and reading.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Frederick A. Richert; a son, Rick (Kimberly) Richert; two daughters, Marjorie Ellen (Rick) Huddleston and Teresa Jo Richert; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Fraser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Fraser.
A celebration of life will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis.
