Helen Louise (Porter) Yoder McClintic, 97, of the Franklin United Methodist Community, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1916, in New Castle, to Carlos and Mildred (Carey) Porter.

She married Dilmer Edmond Yoder on June 18, 1935, in Columbus. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1996. She then married Morris McClintic in November of 1996, and he preceded her in death in 2008.

She was a homemaker.

She and her late husband, Dilmer, farmed together in Nineveh Township, where they raised their children.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday school teacher, a member of Martha’s Circle and Crusaders’ Sunday school class.

She loved being with her family and playing the piano.

She was a 1935 graduate of Alva Neal High School in Franklin.

Survivors include her son, Philip E. (Kay) Yoder of Bargersville; daughter, Evelyn L. Gardner of Franklin; grandchildren, Renee Yoder Williams of Indianapolis, Ann (Jerry) Vansickle of Trafalgar, Nancy (Jeff) Morton of Trafalgar, Greg (Carol) Gardner of Greenwood and Judy Brandt of Franklin; great-grandchildren, Cara (Bert) Whitley, Amanda (Tony) Smith, Kelly (Joe) Hampton, Abby Morton, Kyle Brandt, Mark Brandt, Kristen Gardner and Holly Gardner; eight great-great-grandchildren, Bryce, Maggie, Jacob, Daniel, Deacon, Dylan, Drake and Dawson; and a half-brother Robert (Nell) Porter of Live Oak, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, William George Porter; half sister, June Bryant; and grandson, Ryan Yoder.

The Rev. Rick Henry will conduct a service at 1 p.m. today the Wright Chapel of the Franklin United Methodist Community, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. today until service time at the chapel. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.

Swartz Family Community  Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin is handling the arrangements.
