George Brown Jr., 89, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Greenwood Health and Living Center. He was a resident of Greenwood.
Survivors include his wife, Delores “Dee” Brown; two sons, Dr. Stephen (Jo Laine) and David (Lisa) Brown; two daughters, Carol (Mark) Gibson and Shari (Rex) Bowden; two brothers, Donald and Harry Brown; two sisters, Betty Gordon and Anabelle Coss; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ester (Hook) Brown; three brothers; and three sisters.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Mount Pleasant Christian Church building fund.
