Keiko (Shimizu) Riley
Keiko (Shimizu) Riley, 73, of Bargersville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
She was born Dec. 28, 1939, in Fukuoka, Japan to Toshio and Aiko (Watanabe) Shimizu. She married Jerry L. Riley on March 19, 1968 in Fukuoka, Japan, he survives.
She had been a waitress for Fujiyama in Beech Grove for 28 years retiring in 2010. She was an avid Indiana University basketball fan. She loved gardening in her plentiful garden and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Riley of Bargersville; daughter, Kathie R. Ratliff of Franklin; son, Darryl W. Riley (Michelle) of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Katrina Ratliff, Karissa Ratliff, Meagan Foster, Cole Foster, Darian Riley, Alex Riley, Jake Riley and Caden Riley; three brothers, Yasuo Shimizu, Masaki Shimizu and Takashi Shimizu, all of Fukuoka, Japan.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Miako Shimizu.
The Rev. Doug Bohal will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary And Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until service time at the mortuary.
