Ronald L. Arthur, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013.
He was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Indianapolis, the son of Harold and Mary (Knauer) Arthur.
He was a safety director in the transportation industry for 40 years before retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary (Bray) Arthur.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bloemker-Arthur; three daughters, Shelly (Mike) Oswalt, Amy Arthur and Sarah (Mark) Kesselring; two sons, Jeff Arthur and Brad (Tara) Bloemker; three grandsons, Philip and Jonathan Oswalt and Cason Kesselring; a sister, Cheryl (Jim) Herron; and two mothers-in-law, Edelle Bray-Shockley and Barbara Hardwick.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Flanner and Buchanan Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
