Following graduation, he served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force for two years as an aircraft controller. On June 16, 1957, he married Sandra “Sandi” Baker in Columbus, with whom he spent 55 wonderful years.
Upon returning from military service, Bob was employed by Arvin Industries Inc. in Columbus. In 1970, he joined Anderson Box Co. and Inland Container Corp. in Indianapolis. He retired from Inland in 1996.
During retirement years, he and Sandi enjoyed traveling to many interesting destinations throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico and the United States.
