Lowell Dean Whitley, 81, died Wednesday, March 20, 2012. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean (Belton) Whitley; a son, Gary Dean (Sue) Whitley; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Donald Whitley and Charlotte Callahan.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kent Whitley; one grandchild; and four brothers, Lewis, Howard, Joe and Jerry Whitley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at the Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
