Connie Jean Chaney, 65, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, with her loving family at her side.
She was born May 5, 1947, in Indianapolis to Granville and Pauline (Blankenship) Thompson. She was a graduate of Center Grove High School, Class of 1965.
Connie was a cashier at Greenwood Ford for many years and was also a secretary and cashier at a number of local retail stores.
Connie was an avid reader and loved shopping, sewing, doing crafts, watching movies and spending time with her family.
She married J. Daryel Chaney on Dec. 22, 1995; and he survives her, along with her children, Rhonda (Bret) Chaney, Chris (Jon) Goetcheus, Bobby (Tammie) Newkirk, Ty Chaney and Clayton (Amanda) Chaney; four brothers, Steve (Beverly), Tim (Jennie), Terry (Gail) and Ron Thompson; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bob Thompson; her dog, Gracie; and her cat, Cricket.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
