William P. “Bill” Combest, 84, died Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was a resident of Edinburgh.
Survivors include five children, Billy Joe (Barbara) and Jackie (Jerry) Combest, Diane (Dale) Shuffitt and Paula (Dale) Hayford, all of Columbus, and Sheila (Mike) Bowling of Brown County; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Joe Combest of Glasgow, Ky., Gladys Murrell and Bessie (Billy) Willis, both of Columbia, Ky., and Betty (Wayne) Logston and Helen Simpson, both of Glasgow, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Carrie (Holmes) Combest; a daughter, Linda Barnsfather; and three siblings, Mildred Thomas, Louise Rogers and Edna Young.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 11:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
