Garnet Wesley Sims 72, of Trafalgar, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014.

He was born July 22, 1941 to the late Kellus and Mary (Alford) Sims. He married Frances Morgan on June 14, 1960, and she survives. Garnet was a tissue donor. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood. He worked at Smart and Perry Ford, Jack Smart Ford and Ray Skillman Ford, where he was the service manager for the past 20 years. Garnet worked for 53 years for Ford and retired in 2011.

His hobbies were fishing, hunting and working in his yard, but his passion was fishing. He loved animals and taking care of them. He might have been The World’s Best Story Teller, and he had the unique ability to make people laugh. He seemed to know everyone and everyone seemed to know him. It didn’t matter where he went or what state he was in. He nearly always knew someone there. Garnet Wesley Sims will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
