Ruth Evelyn Walters, 93, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Morning Pointe of Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1921, to Roland and Edith (Mills) Stine. She married Eugene Dallas Walters in 1940. He preceded her in passing in 1999. Survivors include sons, David Walters (Lisa) of Bargersville, John Walters (Pat) of Greenwood, Tom Walters (Julie) and Bob Walters (Darlene), both of Franklin; grandchildren Christy Stafford, Susan Brown, Diane Patton, Jennifer Nuhfer, Ryan Walters, Chris Walters, Paul Walters; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, and brother, Harold Stine.
Ruth was a graduate of Whiteland High School. She was a homemaker.
Ruth attended Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Franklin and the Community Church of Greenwood.
She enjoyed playing cards, and shopping, and was an avid fan of both the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lord’s Cupboard or to the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Franklin.
