Wallace S. Harmon, 76, of Edinburgh, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.
He was born Feb. 27, 1938, in Edinburgh to the late Jesse and Sally J. (Burton) Harmon. He married Brenda Kay (Russell) Harmon; and she survives.
He also is survived by a son, Terry Wayne Harmon (companion, Tracy Conover) of Mooresville; daughters, Robin (Dan) Perritt of Whiteland, Kelly Denise Harmon of Franklin and Laura Lynn Harmon of Taylorsville; brothers, Joseph G. (Marilyn) Harmon of Columbus and James R. Burton of Edinburgh; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Marie Harmon; brothers, Winfrey Burton, Darrell Burton, Roy Burton, Billy Harmon and Rufus Cowan; and sisters, Melba Joan Harmon and Connie Campbell.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He retired in 1995 from Cummins Inc. in Columbus after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Who So Eve Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Revs. Guy Hardin and Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh is handling arrangements.
