Victor J. Herbertz, 83, died Monday, June 25, 2012. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
Survivors include four children, Julie Ann Shaftstall, and Philip J. , Glen J., and Scott J. Herbertz; two siblings, Frank L. Herbertz and Shirley Smelko; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” A. Godfrey Herbertz.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, where prayers will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
