Nell Woods, 87, of Henderson, Ky., formerly of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Lucy Smith King Hospital in Henderson.
The daughter of William Terrell Hendrix and Lillie Mae Pruitt Hendrix Mills, Nell was born Wednesday, April 16, 1925, in Union City, Tenn.
A homemaker, Nell was a member of Henderson General Baptist Church.
Nell is survived by a daughter, Lavon Linhart of Henderson, Ky.; three sons, Ronald Woods of Jackson, Mo., and Donnie Woods and Danny Woods, both of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Beside her parents, Nell was preceded in by death by her husband, Murl Woods; one sister; and six brothers.
Charles Linhart will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
