Franklin E. McCarter Sr., 74, died Friday, July 20, 2012, in Noblesville. He was a resident of Sheridan.
Survivors include two children, Franklin (Judith) McCarter Jr. of McCordsville and Jesse J. McCarter of Greenfield; a sister, Mary Wright of Greenfield; a brother, David Wright of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry E. and Mary (Dancen) McCarter.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
