Clyde Kern Jr., 85, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife, Delores (Bruner) Kern; three children, Joan Marie (Robert) Kern Wertz of Douglasville, Ga., and Howard J. (Mary) Kern and Koby L. (Susan) Kern, both of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Elsie (Houghland) Kern Sr.; and a sister, Martha Mae Faucett.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, with Philip Bacon officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
