Charles Edwin Wilson

ORLANDO, FLA.

Charles Edwin Wilson, 77, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, in Winter Park, Florida.

Born July 13, 1937, in Bargersville, he was the son of the late Paul C. and Thelma (Scott) Wilson. He was a 1955 graduate of Center Grove High School.

On Dec. 18, 1959, he married Evelyn (Beasley) in Indianapolis.

He was employed at McQuay–Norris in Indianapolis for 29 years and also worked for Lucent Technologies in Orlando for seven years, retiring in 1998.

Charles was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kissimmee, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wilson; a son, Charles “Doug” (Debra) Wilson; a daughter, Judy (Mark) Fryman; two brothers, Clarence Wilson and Paul “Bugs” Wilson Jr.; grandchildren, Brian Potts, Mark Fryman Jr., Jennifer Kocher, Melinda Schadler, Matthew Fleck, Kevin Fleck, Michael Wilson, Jessica Wilson and Nichole Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Silas Fryman, Charles Kocher, Arlo Fryman, Ruth Kocher and Isabel Schadler, arriving in May.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Wilson; and a sister, Margaret Horner.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

The family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, in care of the funeral home.
