Norma Freudenstein

Norma J. (Willmann) Freudenstein, 81, of the Franklin United Methodist Community, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014.

She was born Oct. 7, 1933, in Norwood, Ohio, to Clifford and Lorene (Long) Willmann. She married Louis Freudenstein on Oct. 9, 1954, in Hanover. The couple had just celebrated 60 years of marriage. Mrs. Freudenstein had been a school bus driver for over 20 years for Rise Special Services. She also had worked in the office of Gray Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis where she was a member.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending the winters with her husband in Ft. Myers, Florida. She also enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years; Louis Freudenstein of Franklin; sons, Mark Freudenstein (Kathy) of Greenwood and Brent Freudenstein (Lynetta) of Indianapolis; a daughter, Rhonda Medsker (Quinn) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Luke Freudenstein and Lindsay Freudenstein, both of Indianapolis, Chad Freudenstein (Ashley) of Indianapolis, Corey Freudenstein (Jessica) of Indianapolis, Stephanie Duffy (Travis) of Arcadia; and three great-grandchildren Bryston Duffy, Kinzley Duffy and Baby F.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wanda Tarter.

The Rev. Marion Glover will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Shelby Christian Church Cemetery near Versailles. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1848 Longmont, Colorado 80502.
