Jan Lynn Clayman, 57, passed peacefully in her sleep Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at her home in New Whiteland.

Jan was born Jan. 14, 1957, in Hartford City to Dwight L. and Greta J. (Rhodes) McIntire. She had lived in the Whiteland area for 35 years.

She was a bookkeeper for several companies and more recently at Pool City for the past 12 years.

Jan enjoyed NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 390 in Greenwood and Community Congregational Church, where she loved performing in the church choir.

Jan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her family.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 38 years, Randy; four children, son, Jason (Melanie) Clayman of Greenwood, daughters, Michelle (Keith) Tinkle of Greenwood, Janeal (Alan) Robinette of Indianapolis and Crystal (Craig) Shepherd of Franklin; two brothers, Brit (Janeen) McIntire and Bart (Jackie) McIntire, both of Albany; eight grandchildren, Wyatt Clayman, Alex Drish and Nick Beauchamp, Izabelle and Alyssa Robinette, Teri, Abigail “Abby” and Caitlin Shepherd; fur babies, Tia and Lopez; and fur grandbabies, Molly and Pumpkin Clayman, Beau, Ollie and Milo Tinkle, Leila and Willy Robinette, Chloe and Furball Shepherd; chosen family, Hugh (Andrea) Sutton, Barb Metcalf and Brianna Huffman; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was welcomed into heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her mother, Greta McIntire; grandparents, Georgetta and Chester “Peg” Rhodes and Ruth and Lester McIntire; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Community Congregational Church, 4592 N. Hurricane Road, Franklin. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Hurricane Cemetery near Franklin.
