Police seek information on vehicle theft

Franklin police are asking for help in solving a vehicle theft from a used care dealership.

The thief stole an all-black 1991 Jeep CJ7 Wrangler from Hagan Auto Sales, 498 Nineveh Road in Franklin, on Dec. 30 or 31.

A welder and welding tank, specialty auto repair tools, multiple other tools such as sockets and wrenches and several keys to other used vehicles also were stolen, according to a Franklin Police Department news release.

The thief or thieves broke a lock on a fence and a window at the car lot during the overnight hours.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call Lt. Pete Ketchum at 346-1141.
