Man accused of molesting two Greenwood girls

A Mississippi man has been charged with two counts of child molesting after police said he touched two girls in Greenwood.

Kenneth Alford, 50, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for an incident that occurred in September.

Greenwood police were called on Sept. 19 after a woman reported that Alford had inappropriately touched her two daughters, ages 11 and 10.

Alford was staying at the house overnight when he got up and began taking photos of one of the girls with his phone around 3 a.m., according to a police report said. He touched the girl’s chest and stomach over her clothes, the report said. Alford pulled down the other girl’s pants and touched her, the report said.

Alford, 308 S. Main St., Poplarville, Mississippi, was taken to the Johnson County jail and is being held on $13,200 bond.
