FRANKLIN
David D. Richardson Sr., 60, of Franklin, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015.
He was born Feb. 24, 1954, in Franklin to the late Paul and Thelma Brown Richardson.
Survivors include his son, David D. Richardson Jr., and daughters, Amy (Mike) McDonald and Wendy (Stephen) Devore, all of Franklin; brothers, Duane (Stephanie) Richardson and Donnie (Sandy) Richardson; sister, Diana (Richard) Blades; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Darryl Richardson.
He was employed more than 35 years by Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors, retiring in 2005.
He was a longtime member of UAW Local 933.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 951 N. Main St., Franklin. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
