Edinburgh outlets to add 2 retailers

Shoppers will get new options later this year at Edinburgh Premium Outlets.

Abercrombie & Fitch and Express both plan to open new stores this year. Other stores are renovating their spaces or moving to another part of the mall, including Famous Footwear, DressBarn, G.H. Bass and Company and Tools & More.

Coldwater Creek, The Longaberger Company and Champion stores all closed last year, which opened up space for new stores to come in and existing stores to move, said Nathan Elrod, director of marketing and business development for Edinburgh Premium Outlets.

Construction is slated to start next week on the new Abercrombie & Fitch store. Construction started about two weeks ago on a space that Famous Footwear and DressBarn will be moving into, which is being renovated from space for three stores into two, Elrod said.

Exactly when the new Express store will open has not been decided because the retailer will move into the space occupied by G.H. Bass and Company, which has not yet moved into its new location.

The last renovation at Edinburgh Premium Outlets was in 2005 when the center added 70,000 square feet of retail space with 15 to 20 stores, including Calvin Klein, J.Crew and Adidas, Elrod said.
