EDINBURGH
Inita Swinehart, 88, of Edinburgh, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Franklin Meadows in Franklin.
She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Otwell. She was the daughter of Theodore Marcus and Stella Florence (Teague) Brittain. She married Beryl Swinehart on Dec. 31, 1950. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1985.
She is survived by brothers, Roger and Robert Brittain, both of Petersburg, and Merlin Brittain of Otwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brothers, John, Theodore and Wilford Brittain and a sister, Carolyn Brittain.
She was a member of the Edinburgh United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary of Edinburgh, and a charter and life member of the VFW Auxiliary of Edinburgh.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, with calling from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday. Rev. Lewis Burton will officiate services. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
