Everything you ever wanted to know about coyotes and how to deal with them if they appear in your backyard will be the subject of a special class in April.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will offer a class at 5:30 p.m. April 2 at the Greenwood library, 310 S. Meridian St.
Speakers will include biologists, conservation officers and animal control operators. Coyotes are a native species common in all Indiana counties, including urban and suburban areas. Presentations will cover ways to reduce conflicts with coyotes, questions regarding pet safety and current hunting/trapping regulations.
The class is free. Those who wish to attend should register in advance by calling 234-8440.
