To the editor:
In that we and many others are a subscriber to the Daily Journal, we appreciate having the opportunity to read and keep up with Johnson County news.
What is difficult to understand for many of us is the left-of-center and at times far-left editorials and commentary that is published in the paper. Most of the “guest columnists” have far-left articles, such as a recent column by Morton Marcus expressing his views on guns and the Second Amendment.
Maybe he would prefer to live in a society where these freedoms do not exist. Perhaps a day will come when someone with a concealed carry permit will be able to provide some safety and security for a person or persons who is close to him. I am sure that if he would need more clarification regarding the matter, the National Rifle Association would be more than happy to give it to him.
