Maybeth Walls

Maybeth Walls, 86, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2015.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1929, in Indianapolis to the late Elmer and Pauline Hendrick Dewbrew. She was an alumni of Center Grove High School, loved to sew and she was a family and Johnson County historian.

She was a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church and a Daughter of the American Revolution. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, baking and, most of all, was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her children, Virginia “Ginger” (Joe) Rodriguez, Janet (Kirby) South, David (Kathy) Walls and Robert Michael “Mike” (Linda) Walls; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister of Bob Dewbrew, Mary Quintanilla, Thelma Frye, Clint Dewbrew, Corene Surface and George Dewbrew.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Walls, and siblings, Georgia Dewbrew and Clyde Dewbrew.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135 at Olive Branch Road. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
