The Internet has become a force that influences nearly every aspect of people’s lives.

We communicate and work and socialize over it. With the click of a mouse, you can order a sweater or a whole season of your favorite TV show or anything else you can imagine.

For a handful of people, the digital world even provided the love of their lives.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the Daily Journal has spoken to three local couples who met over the Internet. They came together in chat rooms, bantering back and forth before their relationship blossomed as they got to know each other better.

Though it might seem foreign to older generations, this modern love is no different from meeting your mate at a coffee shop or the library, they say.
