Cecelia Jane Crowder

Cecelia Jane (Hogue) Crowder, 73, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones, at her residence in Franklin.

She was born Aug. 21, 1941, to Ray and Anna (Stitt) Hogue. She married G.R. “Tommy” Crowder on Dec. 31, 1962.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas R. and wife, Lisa, Crowder and G.R. and wife, Aleta, Crowder Jr., all of Bargersville; a daughter, Lisa D. and husband, Jeff, Hamm of Franklin; a brother, David (Anna) Hogue of Franklin; three sisters, Cathy Douglas, Mary Sue (Donnie) Pate and Pauline Acher; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, Tommy, on Dec. 24, 2012; and an infant sister, Lena Mae Hogue.

Cecelia was the business manager for the family’s third-generation timber company, Crowder Hardwoods in Whiteland.

A faithful Christian, she was a member of Bargersville Church of Christ. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings.

A celebration of Cecelia’s life will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. A private family burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
