An upcoming dinner will help county veterans.
Johnson County Extension Homemakers is conducting a pickup chicken dinner May 13.
Diners can pick up their dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Hall at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.
The dinner is catered by Kopper Kettle and tickets are $10. Pre-orders are due by May 6.
All money will go to help returning military personnel who are waiting for benefits and to help older retired veterans who struggle financially.
Tickets can be purchased at the extension office, 484 N. Morton St., Franklin.
