<p>Purdue Extension Johnson County will host a free financial safety seminar Monday.</p>
<p>The program will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the extension service offices, 484 N. Morton St., Franklin.</p>
<p>A variety of speakers will present educational information about how to avoid scams, protect against identify theft and be secure on the Internet.</p>
<p>Participants include Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller and Connie Larson, the Indiana secretary of state.</p>
<p>Sheila Harmon from the Greenwood Public Library will discuss Internet safety and security, while Barbara Miller with Senior Medicare Patrol will present on Medicare fraud.</p>
<p>Participants will receive gift bags and informational packets. Refreshments will be available.</p>
