<p>If you are looking for a way to keep your youngster busy this summer, programs around the county have you covered.</p>
<p>City parks and recreation departments, schools, Franklin College, nonprofit organizations, community centers and even a museum are offering summer camps to cater to every kid’s taste.</p>
<p>Children can sing at a musical theater camp, learn about Greek mythology and create their own robot. Here is a look at the summer camp offerings.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]
<p>Living History</p>
<p>Youngsters who love history and who have finished or are about to start fourth grade can attend the Johnson County Museum of History’s Time Traveler’s History Camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 18 to 22.</p>
<p>Each day of the cam, students will learn about a different time period. They will interact with a Civil War reenactor, several member of the Miami Native American tribe and do activities that tie into the time period of the day.</p>
<p>Cost is $30 or $25 for members of the historical society.</p>
<p>Kids on Campus</p>
<p>Franklin College’s annual Kids on Campus is from June 27 to July 1, with full- and half-day options.</p>
<p>Campers from first to eighth grade can pick from a dozen classes geared toward their age group. Younger students can do a reader’s theater or learn about pirates. Older students can blog, learn about ultimate Frisbee or get the basics of web design.</p>
<p>Cost ranges from $79 for a single class to $209 for a full week of classes.</p>

<p>Camp Invention</p>
<p>Your youngster can be an inventor at upcoming Camp Inventions at Center Grove, Creekside or Isom elementary schools.</p>
<p>All the camps are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Center Grove’s camp is from June 6 to 10. Creekside and Isom’s camps are a week later, from June 13 to 17. Creekside’s camp is $230. The other two camps are $220.</p>

<p>Greenwood Parks and Recreation</p>
<p>A local park department is offering students from ages 4 to 12 a chance to explore arts and the ocean.</p>
<p>The Greenwood Parks and Recreation’s ocean camp is from June 20 to 23 at Greenwood Community Middle School.</p>
<p>The art camp is from June 27 to 30.</p>
<p>Costs range from $40 to $65.</p>
<p>SS. Francis &amp; Clare Wolf Camp</p>
<p>Students who want a new theme every week can attend Wolf Camp by SS. Francis &amp; Clare.</p>
<p>The camp will be from June 6 to July 29, with a different theme each week, ranging from Harry Potter to astronomy.</p>
<p>The camp will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a drop-in rate of $45 and a weekly rate of $160.</p>

<p>Baxter YMCA</p>
<p>The Baxter YMCA is offering summer camps for children ages three to 15.</p>
<p>Camp starts May 31 and runs until July 27. Families can choose multiple locations of their camps through the Baxter YMCA.</p>
<p>Costs range from $69 to $370, depending on how many days a week a student will attend, which camp they choose and whether they are members of the YMCA.</p>

<p>Center State Musical Theatre Camp</p>
<p>If your youngster loves to sing, dance or act, musical theater camp at Center Grove Middle School North might be the right choice.</p>
<p>The camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon weekdays June 20 to July 1.</p>
<p>Students will focus on performance skills and will put on a musical revue at the end of camp.</p>

<p>Dance Camp</p>
<p>Center Grove High School’s dance team will host a dance camp from 9 to 11 a.m. June 14 to 16 at Center Grove Middle School North.</p>
<p>Dancers in grades 1 through 8 can register. Cost is $50 per student or $40 for a family discount.</p>

<p>Radical Robots Camp</p>
<p>Youngsters who want to work with robots can attend a camp.</p>
<p>The Radical Robots Summer Camp will be from 8 a.m. to noon June 20 to 24.</p>
<p>Robot lovers entering third through sixth grade are welcome at the camp at Center Grove High School.</p>
<p>Students will be working with the NXT and EV3 Lego Robots, making water propelled rockets, elephant toothpaste and doing other STEM related activities.</p>
<p>Cost is $125 per student.</p>

<p>Youth Garden Camp</p>
<p>Your little green thumb can get their fill of dirt during a garden camp.</p>
<p>Youth Garden Camp through the Purdue Extension will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 and 28.</p>
<p>The camp is open to students ages 8 to 12. The cost is $10 and campers should bring a sack lunch.</p>
<p>Campers will learn about plant parts and functions, flower parts and functions, dissect a flower and do crafts.</p>

<p>Franklin Community Choir Choral and Vocal Music Camp</p>
<p>Students in grades five through 12 can polish their music skills in a camp in Franklin.</p>
<p>The Franklin Community Choir Choral and Vocal Music Camp will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 13 to 17.</p>
<p>Students will get individual instruction in master classes and vocal ensembles. They will also participate in sectional and technique classes and receive music theory and sight training.</p>
<p>The cost is $85 for one camper. Discounted tuition is available for families with multiple students.</p>
