Academy success stories

<p>More students are graduating high school this year through two alternative academies in Johnson County.</p>
<p>Center Grove Alternative Academy and Clark-Pleasant Academy, where students can finish their diplomas through online programming, are boasting larger graduating classes this year.</p>
<p>Clark-Pleasant has 43 graduates this spring, compared to 33 last spring, said Clark-Pleasant Academy student services coordinator Lisa Morris.</p>
<p>Center Grove will have around 40 graduates this year, which is an increase from last school year, said Center Grove Alternative Academy director Beth Bryant.</p>
<p>Each student has a different motivation for finishing their degrees, ranging from getting married to having a child to proving to friends and family that they could earn their diploma.</p>[sc:pullout-title pullout-title="If you go" ][sc:pullout-text-begin]<p>Center Grove Alternative Academy and Clark-Pleasant Academy will be graduating more than 80 students this week.</p>
