<p>The Franklin Boys and Girls Club triathlon for kids is set for June 25. </p>
<p>The event for kids ages 5 to 14 will start at 8 a.m. at Franklin Community High School, 2600 Cumberland Drive.</p>
<p>Children will compete in their age category in a 25- or 50-yard swim, a 1.1-mile bike ride and a half-mile run.</p>
<p>Children must have two-wheel bikes without training wheels and a helmet.</p>
<p>A celebration afterward includes bounce houses, face painting and snacks.</p>
<p>Cost is $32 per child. Children will receive a T-shirt, kids’ triathlon drawstring backpack (with snacks) and a medal. Scholarships are available for families with financial hardship.</p>
