An alarm summoned police to Canary Creek, located on Mallory Parkway, after 1 a.m. Wednesday. A window had been shattered, presumably by a thrown rock that was found in the lobby, according to a Franklin police report.

Police decided to check other neighboring businesses and went to the Kroger Marketplace under construction nearby. An officer walked through the building and found two shattered glass doors, such as a frozen food display case, a report said.

The vandal or vandals had also spray-painted graffiti and curse words on an inside wall, the report said. The officer took a steel pipe and a can of paint as evidence, the report said.

Police were called back to Canary Creek on Wednesday morning when an employee found another rock that had been thrown through a window. The worker had taped the window damaged by the first rock, turned the security alarm back on and left at 3:15 a.m. But at 8 a.m., a worker found that another rock had been thrown through the same window.
