<p>EDINBURGH</p>
<p>Phillip Michael Burton, 64, of Edinburgh, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.</p>
<p>He was born Sept. 1, 1951, and was the son of Wilmer and Pearl Burton.</p>
<p>He married Rita Ault on April 16, 1981.</p>
<p>He is survived by his wife; sisters Beulah (Leonard) Littlejohn, Sheila Hendrix, Esther (Dan) Stanfill, Vickie (Joey) Russell and brother Dean (Kay) Burton — all of Edinburgh, and Jeff (Melinda) Burton of Columbus.</p>
<p>He enjoyed NASCAR, beer and walking his dog, Brutus. He also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>Services will be conducted by the Rev. Justin Surface, with calling graveside, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, at 10:30 a.m. today.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the family to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.</p>
