<p>INDIANAPOLIS</p>
<p>James “Jim” Goins, Jr., 87, of Indianapolis, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016.</p>
<p>He was born March 11, 1929, in Indianapolis to the late James and Nancy (Jones) Goins Sr. He was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church and worked at Amtrak as a chief engineer for 41½ years.</p>
<p>Jim married Nina (English) Goins on Jan. 10, 1948, and she survives after 68 years of marriage.</p>
<p>Other survivors include sons, Gary (Jeanette) Goins and Kevin (Sherri) Goins; daughters, Sharon (Lee) Allen and Sandy (Dale) Glonski; brothers, Harry (Barbara) Goins and Kenny (Kathy) Goins; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>He was also preceded in death by siblings, John Goins, Ray Goins, Jane Goins and Aggie Glaze.</p>
<p>Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial at Rocklane Cemetery.</p>
