<p>EDINBURGH</p>
<p>Gerald T. Burton, 71, of Edinburgh, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.</p>
<p>He was born April 17, 1945, in Adair County, Kentucky. He was the son of Malcom and Velma (Cowan) Burton.</p>
<p>He is survived by brothers, Darrell L. (Norma) Burton and Malcom “Shorty” (Vicki) Burton, both of Edinburgh, sisters, Linda K. (Ronnie) Estes of Edinburgh and Jeanette (Wallace) Adams of Trafalgar; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.</p>
<p>He was a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church.</p>
<p>He enjoyed attending church, singing and fishing. He also enjoyed going to Applebee’s for his birthday.</p>
<p>Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church by the Rev. Homer Whited. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the church and from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.</p>
