Betty and Ivan Skaggs of Franklin are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. They celebrated the anniversary with a trip to the Smokey Mountains and will celebrate with their family Aug. 28.
Mr. Skaggs and his wife, the former Betty Chambers, were married June 21, 1946, in Indianapolis.
He is a retired project manager.
She is a retired school cafeteria manager.
They are the parents of Daniel Skaggs of Noblesville, Carolyn Richards (Gary) of Greenwood and John Skaggs (Velesa) of Indianapolis. They have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
