<h4><strong>Girls golf</strong></h4>
<strong>Lamey, Terhune both shoot 46 for Woodmen</strong>

Perry Meridian edged Mooresville 170-172 in a triangular girls golf match Thursday at Heartland Crossing.

Greenwood also competed, finishing with a score of 191.

Julianna Lamey and Maecee Terhune shot 46s to lead the Woodmen. Laila Stein finished with a 49, while Bridget Lindstrom carded a 50. Other Greenwood scores were Taylor Watson’s 54 and Maeci West with a 60.

<strong>Lancers win three-way meet</strong>

Kenzie Hill and Vanessa McManaway produced scores of 53 on Thursday to lead Edinburgh past North Decatur and Southwestern (Shelby) at Timbergate Golf Course.

The Lancers shot 217 with North Decatur seven strokes back despite Sidney Parmer securing medalist honors for the Chargers with a 45.

Southwestern finished third with a score of 228.

Savannah Kellams had a 54 for Edinburgh. Teammates Kierra Richards (57), Maddy Giles (60) and Bethany Burton (70) also competed for the Lancers.

<strong>Warriors fall short against Martinsville</strong>

Led by medalist Audrey Eckart with a 40, Whiteland played 10-time state champion Martinsville tough at The Legends Golf Club on Thursday.

The Artesians prevailed, 176-183.

Also for the Warriors, Bri Harwell shot 45, Rachel Giround a 47, Allie Watson a 51 and Lydia Collier a 61.
